Sitting in an armchair, the woman represented in this Pablo Picasso print is comprised of geometric shapes and curving lines. Her hair braided at the nape of her neck, she is depicted in profile as she leans back into the cushion of the chair. With each shape rendered in a different shade of grey, Pablo Picasso reduced the figure of the woman to emphasize her structure and the multiple perspectives from which he viewed her.
